we were supposed to go to virginia beach for analia's edd but because of hurricane ernesto, we went to charleston instead. it was cloudy and rainy but we managed to have a quiet visit.

visiting the places where teddy lived for many many years. mom and dad met here, went to school here, got married here, bought their first house here.... the list go on and on. teddy was so excited to be back for a visit. blomington is home to indiana university at bloomington, it has one of the 5 most beautiful campuses in the US.

this is a business trip to attend the CHA trade show. mr bear is the first and only bear to make it into the exhibition halls.

we only have a day to tour dc so we did a lot of walking in one day. my bear advice is to wear some good walking shoes! lunch was at chinatown, just ok, nothing impressive but since we were all hungry, we cleaned out the plates.

we made a slight detour and took a quick tour of new haven and yale. we didn't stop so i only got photos in the car. :(

on the way from boston to washington dc, we stopped at providence for lunch. providence place was a huge mall and the food court was really nice. we drove through downtown and around providence before proceeding to dc.

i've decided i want to attend harvard or mit, so we're checking out both schools to pick one for early admissions. Yeah right! :p I'm tagging along with amanda while she checks out universities to apply to in the next few months.

we went on a eastern caribbean cruise on royal caribbean's explorer of the seas. it was a huge ship! we sailed from bayonne new jersey, spent 2 days at sea, stopped at st thomas, st maarten, st juan, and labadee (haiti), then spent another 2 days at sea before returning to bayonne. our cabin looked into the royal promenade so we did a lot of people watching. the beaches were also quite beautiful but we heard half moon cay was way better. next time we want to go to half moon cay.

we stopped at atlantic city on the way to bayonne new jersey. it took us 8 hours to get to atlantic city because of traffic. we stayed at the taj mahal hotel and spent most of our time on the boardwalk.

an evening picnic at duke gardens with shawn and ms bear. we got there a little late due to the hot weather but had a great time munching on snacks and watching kids and ducks at the gardens.
